On April 8, 1952, Maurice "Rocket" Richard left the Stanley Cup Semi game 7 in the first period from a vicious concussion. He returned in the 3rd period to skate through the Bruins' defense and score the game-winning goal against "Sugar Jim" Henry. After going to war with each other, the men met at center ice for an iconic handshake - a tradition of ultimate respect, that some 60 years later would be the building blocks of VG, a club that spreads the word of respect, tradition and sportsmanship.
